Privacy statement

1. Who we are

Orange Insight (www.orange-insight.com) is a trade name of Geenen ict B.V., established at Sint Jansstraat 19, 6071 JG Swalmen, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) under number 87555840 (VAT: NL864328837B01). Under the Orange Insight name we provide Splunk and Cribl consultancy, professional services, managed services and training to business customers.

2. What data we process on this website, and why

• Visitors. This website sets one functional cookie (your language preference) and uses cookieless, anonymised visit statistics (Vercel Web Analytics) without cross-site tracking. This requires no consent, which is why we show no cookie banner. We place no marketing or advertising cookies. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Contact form. When you send an enquiry we process the name, work email address, company, role, area of interest and message you provide, solely to answer you. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request.
• Newsletter. If you subscribe we process your email address to send you our insights, until you unsubscribe. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the link in every mailing or by emailing us.
• Customers. For customers we process business contact details and contract, project and invoicing data. Legal basis: performance of the contract and statutory (tax) obligations.

3. Data in your environments during assignments

During consultancy, professional services and managed services we may have access to your Splunk, Cribl and related systems. Those systems can contain personal data of your employees, customers or users (for example in log data). In that case we act as processor and process such data solely on your documented instructions, under a data processing agreement, and only to the extent the assignment requires. We do not copy such data outside your environment beyond what is needed for the work, we never use it for our own purposes, and we never sell data to third parties.

4. Recipients and subprocessors

We share data only in so far as necessary for this website and our communication with you:

• Vercel (web hosting and cookieless analytics).
• Postmark (delivery of the contact form and newsletter subscription by email).
• Our regular business software for email, planning and invoicing.

5. Retention periods

• Form submissions: at most 12 months after handling, unless an assignment follows.
• Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
• Customer and contract data: for the duration of the agreement and thereafter only as long as statutory retention obligations require (in the Netherlands generally 7 years for financial records).
• Visit statistics: stored in aggregated form only, without personal data.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections (TLS) for all data traffic, restrict access to systems to authorised persons with strong authentication, and rely on providers that store data encrypted in European or otherwise adequately protected data centres. Credentials you give us for an assignment are stored securely and deleted when the assignment ends. We report data breaches to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) and to the customers concerned in accordance with the GDPR.

7. Your rights and changes to this statement

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can exercise these rights by emailing info@geenenict.nl. If your personal data was processed in a customer's environment during an assignment, please contact that customer (the controller); we will support them in handling your request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
